Greg Hartman’s 22-year history in the audio industry has been built on a reputation for excellence. As a freelance live sound (PA) engineer, freelance studio-recording engineer, business owner and educator, Mr. Hartman has seen and done it all. Beginning as a freelance audio engineer, Greg built a client list including The Nighthawks, National Public Radio, Nils Lofgren, WHFS Radio, and The Smithsonian Jazz Masterworks Orchestra. As owner/operator of Big Mo Recording Services, Greg’s client list grew to include WBGO Radio’s Jazz Set with Dee Dee Bridgewater, The John F. Kennedy Center For the Performing Arts, The Bonnaroo Music Festival, National Public Radio, Black Entertainment Television, Folkways Records, Sony Music, The Mississippi Public Broadcast Network, and Mug-Shot Films. Throughout the years, Greg Hartman and Big Mo Recording have had the pleasure of recording The Dave Matthews Band, Neil Young, James Brown, Tom Petty, Wynton Marsalis, Dave Brubeck, Yolanda Adams, Kirk Franklin, and many more world renowned artists. In addition, Greg’s engineering work has been featured on several Grammy Award, Stellar Award and Peabody Award winning projects.
